Propane

Propane is a gas at standard temperature and pressure but compressible to transportable liquid.It is one of the constituent of liquefied petroleum gas.

What differentiates propane from LPG is it’s high vapor pressure making it a right fit for application requiring high flow rate yet have low vaporization due to limitations in system design. Being heavier than air, propane has the lowest flammability range among all oxy fuels.

The supply of propane cannot easily be adjusted to meet increased demand, because of the by-product nature of propane production.

Propane combustion is much cleaner than that of coal or unleaded gasoline.

Since it can be transported easily, it is a popular fuel for home heat and backup electrical generation in sparsely populated areas that do not have natural gas pipelines.
